Cleaning trout can seem like a daunting task, but there are a few tricks to make it easier. Watch this video and learn how to clean trout the right way.

1.) Turn the trout upside down and cut from the vent to where the gills converge
2.) Insert your knife through the slits of the gills and cut up
3.) Grab the fish below the jaw with one hand and grab the jaw with your other hand. Then pull the bit below the jaw downward and with it will come all the guts.
4.) Remove any remaining guts and use your thumbnail to push out the kidney along the spine, rinsing with water.
