In a press release, digital booking platform FishingBooker detailed their picks for the top eight ice fishing destinations in the U.S. Taking first place was the Brainerd, MN area; second place was Lake Habeeb, Maryland; and Devils Lake, North Dakota was third.
FishingBooker said of the Bairnerd area, “Over 460 lakes within 25 miles of the city make it a perfect location for angling enthusiasts. The fishing is great any day of the year and even in winter that doesn’t change. The other five destinations on the list were as follows:
- Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin.
- Copper Harbor, Michigan.
- Castle Lake, California.
- Boysen Reservoir, Wyoming.
- Moosehead Lake, Maine.
