Roman Fedortsav is known for finding bizarre looking creatures and sharing photos of them on social media. Recently he pulled a fish up from the depths of the Russian seas and it might just be his oddest find yet.
According to Field & Stream this creature can be described as a “big-eyed fish with oddly protuberant, translucent fins, a thresher-like tail, and a body that looks like it was hastily sewn together out of parts from other fish.”
Comments on the Instagram post of this fish generated much discussion. One viewer thought it might be a “ghost chimera,” which is a fish species that lives 8,500 feet deep in the ocean.
