This knot is great for connecting two lines as you just saw. In case you missed an of those steps, find them listed out below.
1.) Take the lines ends and cross them with about five inches of line left on each tag end
2.) Grab one tag end and loop it around the other line about 5 times
3.) Put the tag end through the hole where it meets the other line
4.) Repeat this process with the other tag end
5.) Pull the lines tight and trim the tag ends
Consider using this knot on the water if you need to quickly tie two lines together.
