Now is the time of year anglers are using either a spinnerbait or a bladed jig. To better understand which one to select check out this bit of advice from Jason Christie.
As you just saw to be effective on the water your setup needs to match the environment. If you find yourself in warmer water or around grass you should be using a bladed jig. This setup will move quicker and foster reaction strikes. However, if you’re in colder dirtier water the spinner bait will be more effective. This is because it will move slower and work better around cover.
Now that you’ve seen when to use either a spinnerbait or bladed jig you will be ripping lip in your local honey hole like a pro.
