Tell us a little about yourself!
My name is Bailey, I’m 20 years old, & a USCG licensed master captain. I don’t currently charter at the moment, as I’m enjoying getting to travel and catch all kinds of different fish, which you can see on my page! I’ll also be launching a YouTube channel soon where you can watch my adventures.
When did you start fishing? And who got you into the sport?
I’ve fished since I was a little girl with my dad, but it wasn’t something I got into until actually about a year ago. My dad and older cousin Gaige have taught me everything I know about my fishery. I’m blessed to have family members that want to teach me everything about the sport.
What is your favorite fish to catch?
That’s really a tough question! It depends on my mood. For inshore, I love catching redfish. For offshore, I really enjoy amberjack, and even though I’ve only caught one, definitely yellowfin tuna.
What is the most difficult fish to fight?
My 197 lbs yellowfin took me over an hour and a half to fight by myself, if that answers the question.
Do you have a favorite lure or bait?
For inshore fishing where I live, I do! I would tell you, but it’s my secret lure and tournament season where I live is coming up 🤷🏼♀️ I will say it’s made by LiveTarget though!
Do you have a favorite place or spot to fish?
As of right now, no! I haven’t fished enough places yet. I do love Venice, Louisiana though just because of the variety of fish you’re able to catch there.
What are some of your other favorite hobbies?
Haha, I really don’t do much other than fish, but when I’m not fishing you can usually find me hanging out with my family or helping my parents at their resort and soon to be marina!
