Diver and angler extraordinaire Luiza heads out to Old Bahama Bay in Grand Bahama to catch some lobster and conch. Watch and learn as she shows how to catch and cook these delicious creatures on a private island.
As you just saw hunting underneath the sandy ledges with a Hawaiian sling is the best way to catch lobsters. Luiza was able to land some big lobsters that were hiding underneath the grassy banks. The water was gorgeous and plentiful providing them with conch and lobsters.
When cleaning the lobsters, be sure to cut around the shell and simply fling the rest of the body into the sea. Then use a long stick to push out the poop vein out from the back of the tail to ensure the whole thing is extracted. Cleaning the conch was even easier. All you have to do is break the point off the shell and pull out the inside meat with a knife. Once you have the meat extracted you can made a delicious salad by pairing it with tomatoes, onions, peppers, and lime juice. Follow these steps and you’ll have a delicious meal that is easy to make.
