Casting the Double Haul like a Professional (VIDEO)

The Double Haul cast is used in fly fishing when you need to present the fly quickly to a moving fish. Learn all about this technique in the brief video below.

As you can see the Double Hall looks a bit tricky, but by breaking it down into simple steps and practicing you will have it down in no time. The key to this cast is timing and knowing when to make your forward cast as you wait for the line to load up in the back cast. Once you have the timing down the next part to master is your tug on the extra line which will propel your fly onto the water.
