When it’s -20°F on Lake of the Wood it’s Time to Ice Fish

Lake of the Woods is a coveted spot in Minnesota for ice fishing, and if you can survive the cold you’ll catch tons of fish. Alex Timm goes angling on a particularly cold day and catches walleye, crappie, and more.

Did you see the size of that burbot he catch right at the end of the video? That fish was basically one huge muscle covered in slime. He was able to land some other nice looking fish as well making this a very successful trip to the Lake of the Woods.

As you noticed he didn’t have great luck in the beginning. After he changed up his hooks, location, and bait he turned things around and started catching fish. Take note that when one thing isn’t working you should try something different because doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results is just crazy.
