Angler Pulls Largest Fish Ever Caught in Tennessee from Cherokee Lake

According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, Chad Collins caught a record-setting paddlefish on Cherokee Lake. The fish is now the largest fish ever caught on record in the state, coming in at a whopping 120 pounds.

Collins’s catch measured 75 inches long and had a girth of 41.5 inches according to Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency biologist John Hammond. The paddlefish Collins caught was ten pounds heavier than the previous record-holding catch set in 2021 by Leonard Jech.
