An angler was airlifted to the hospital after reportedly being hit by a train on Thursday in Vermont. According to Brattleboro Police the man was likely fishing off the North Bridge on Putney Road when a train hit him.
When police arrived they found the man lying in the water and he was conscious and alert. He was then sent to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where his current condition is unknown.
Local police want to remind people to stay off train bridged and tracks as the trains move very fast and are surprisingly quiet.
