While most associate ice fishing with small rods through tiny holes in the ice, the people of Finland use nets. Watch as a group of anglers use underwater craft to stretch long nets under the ice in Lapland, Finland.
Did you see how big those net were? They were massive nets strung almost 200 feet through the icy waters. The anglers in the video were able to get the nets in the water using an underwater craft to connect the nets to the two holes in the ice.
This method of ice fishing is typically done over a months-long period so if you want to try this in your local lake you better be ready for a commitment to last all winter long.
